Skiing, skating, sitting by the fire: all the pleasures of winter will be featured at Vintage European Posters’ “Winter Wonderland” show in December.
For the first time, Vintage European Posters, a Berkeley based dealer of original advertising posters will present a dazzling collection of original winter sports and mountain posters, with rare pieces from the great Swiss avant garde, and works by famous poster artists Ludvig Holwein, Herbert Leupin, Willy Trapp, Emil Cardineaux and Roger Soubie.
Come away from the cold and enjoy being surrounded by a gallery decorated with snowy slopes and glittering peaks. VEP owner Elizabeth Norris and her team will be happy to share their poster geek stories and help you find original and hip Christmas gifts in their collection of more than 1,000 posters from 1870 and on, with themes ranging from travel to food, beverages, or fashion.
Vintage European Posters has been buying and selling original vintage posters since 1997 at fine shows and on the web at vepca.com.
The show will be open the first three weekends of December: December 3 & 4, December 10 & 11 and December 17 & 18
